Trail details
Description The snowshoe trail begins at the Hospental railway station. Shortly after it crosses the Furkareuss river by way of an old arch-bridge. The ancient trail of the mule packers on the historical Furka route is followed for a short way in this idyllic lying valley. At the valley end a short climb brings you to the Bielenbodens plateau. Passing the old stables and a decent towards Moos, then crossing the prominent ridge at Steg. After a turn the trail returns to the banks of the Furkareuss and returns to Hospental's railway station. This short, technically simple, circular route permits a many and varied view of the Ursern Valley and, with the correct
equipment, can be carried out in the evening. The tranquillity and moon's subtle light will delight you.
