Trail details
Description The start board is located at close to the mountain hotel Chäserstatt. Over dreamlike snowy slopes and through gnarled larch forests you reach the Erner Galen at 2240m. On the varied trail you pass the prealps of Heixunalp and Lärch before you reach the Schäre.

How to get there by public transport From Geneva/Lausanne/Basel/Zurich/Bern with the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) to Brig and with the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn to Fiesch. From Fiesch with the post bus to Ernen and then to Mühlebach.

From Eastern and Central Switzerland with the SBB to Andermatt and with the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway to Fiesch. From Fiesch with the post bus to Ernen and then to Mühlebach.
How to get there by car Via the motorway from Lausanne-Sion-Sierre-Brig-Ernen-Mühlebach

Through the Lötschberg tunnel by car transport: Bern-Kandersteg-Goppenstein-Gampel-Brig-Ernen-Mühlebach.

Through the Furka Tunnel by car transport: Eastern and Central Switzerland-Göschenen-Andermatt-Realp-Oberwald-Fiesch-Ernen-Mühlebach.

Car transport Furka: Realp-Oberwald in winter approx. every 30 minutes.

Lötschberg car transport: Kandersteg-Goppenstein, approx. every 30 minutes
