Trail details
Description The snowshoe trail leads from Blitzingen-Bodmen along the river Rhone close to its source through snow-covered riverside woodland and larch forests. The figure-of-eight-shaped trail reaches the Ritzingen Rhone bridge, from where the trail gently undulates on the way back to the starting point. On this tour, the snowshoers can enjoy stunning views of the Goms area's villages.

How to get there by public transport The regional trains of the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway take you from Brig to Blitzingen in 1h 09 min. The Goms valley is also easily accessible from the Zurich / Lucerne via Andermatt and the Furka base tunnel.

From Eastern and Central Switzerland: car transfer Furka Realp-Oberwald; in summer across the Furka Pass

From the South: in summer across the Nufenen Pass Airolo - Ulrichen or Gotthard - Andermatt - Realp - Oberwald; in summer across the Furka Pass
